When to use lacquer paint?
Lacquer paints are typically used to paint woodwork, such as window and door frames, and furniture. Lacquer paint produces a hard surface that is easy to wipe down, and is therefore perfect for mouldings on which bumps and other wear often occur. Freshly painted mouldings will be the icing on the cake in when renovating or freshening up your home!
How to paint with lacquer paint?
Lacquer paint is easy to apply and self-levelling for a smooth and streak-free result. You can choose whether you want to paint with a brush or roller. The result will be smooth and nice either way.
Indoor Primer V
Our Indoor Primer V is a waterborne primer for wood and carpentry indoors. The primer is easy to apply and has very good adhesion to all types of surfaces. The indoor primer is ideal to apply before you paint with our indoor lacquer paint.
Lacquer paint
Our lacquer paints are semi-gloss waterborne lacquer paints with very good properties. Lacquer paints have excellent adhesion to most surfaces, even on old coats of paint.
Lacquer paint produces a hard, durable, and non-yellowing surface that also has high resistance to household chemicals. Lacquer paint is easy to apply.
Painting with lacquer paint
Before you start painting with the lacquer paint, you should make sure that the surface is dry, clean, and firm. Before painting, previously painted surfaces should be sanded and washed with paint wash, and then rinsed off with water. Do not forget to first prime the surface with Indoor Primer V.
For the best looking end result, apply the paint with a brush. You can also apply they paint with a roller, and then smooth it out with a brush.
Full coverage is achieved after 1-2 coats.
Woodwork primer
Our woodwork primer is a primer and undercoat with a suitable viscosity for indoor use, and produces a matte surface that can be sanded. The primer adheres to all types of surfaces, both previously painted and untreated. The primer can be applied to metal and wood surfaces, as well as difficult surfaces such as tiles and laminates.
The woodwork primer is also suitable as a primer on absorbent surfaces, such as fabric wallpaper, or as an insulating primer over nicotine-stained, moisture- or smoke-damaged surfaces.

Must I apply primer to woodwork?
Wood that is untreated must be primed before you can apply lacquer paint. If the surface is already painted or has a glossy surface, you first need to sand down the surface.
Can I paint directly on lacquer paint?
Before you start painting, you should sand down the lacquered surface with fine sanding paper and the apply primer to make the lacquer paint adhere better.
