What is a whistleblower?
This is called whistleblowing when a person with insight into the business reports misconduct that exists within the company. It can be about situations that are illegal, unethical or directly inappropriate.
Anonymity
You remain completely anonymous when submitting a report unless you voluntarily disclose who you are. You do not need to provide any personal information about yourself. Your anonymity is ensured by, among other things:
- The tools are encrypted
- Only authorized investigators have access to the tool.
This is how you can protect yourself if you wish to remain anonymous
- Do not use the tool on the corporate network (internet/VPN).
- The device (smartphone, computer, etc.) you use to report is your private or other external device, and not your employer's.
- Avoid using your normal language, such as idioms or abbreviations that you might use in everyday conversations or when writing emails.
